Brian Arthur Nosek is an American social-cognitive psychologist, professor of psychology at the University of Virginia, and the co-founder and director of the Center for Open Science.

[1] He also co-founded the Society for the Improvement of Psychological Science and Project Implicit.

[2] In 2011, Nosek and his collaborators set up the Reproducibility Project, with the aim of trying to replicate the results of 100 psychological experiments published in respected journals in 2008.

[5][6] In 2014 Nosek was guest-editor of a special issue of the journal Social Psychology dedicated to the publication of preregistered replications.

[8] In 2018, Nosek was awarded, alongside Mahzarin Banaji and Anthony Greenwald, with a Golden Goose Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science for their work on implicit bias.
