On April 16, 1919, the southern part of Trnitá was annexed, as well as other territories of the modern city district, including the territory of the former municipalities of Dolní Heršpice, Horní Heršpice, Komárov, Přízřenice, as well as parts of Černovice and Brněnské Ivanovice.
Since the 1990s, there has also been a gradual renewal and improvement of the transport infrastructure, the environment, the expansion and construction of sports fields, and the repair of schools.
In the west of the city district, along Vídeňská street, there is an important commercial and industrial zone.
Recently, the originally Modric shopping center Olympia was added to the Přízřenice cadastre.
