Brooklands, Sarisbury

[1] The house was designed by John Nash in the Georgian style and built for Admiral Sir Thomas Williams of the Royal Navy.

Ionides also created a pair of bathrooms in the house, one of which has yellow tiles decorated with the signs of the zodiac.

A bedroom on the second floor features decorated handmade tiles of fish designed by Hugh Casson.

The grounds were laid out by Humphrey Repton, the formal gardens to the east, west and south were designed by Gertrude Jekyll.

Jekyll's designs for the house feature lawns, banks of azaleas and rhododendrons and herbaceous borders.
