Bruce George Link (born September 3, 1949)[1] is an American epidemiologist and sociologist who is a Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Public Policy at the University of California, Riverside.
He is also a Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology and Sociomedical Sciences in the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, a research scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, and the current president of the Interdisciplinary Association for Population Health Science (IAPHS).
[2] Bruce Link is probably best known for developing fundamental cause theory of social inequalities in health together with Jo Phelan.
[1] Link first joined the faculty of Columbia University in 1981 as an assistant professor of public health.
[4] In 1995, Link received an Investigator Award in Health Policy Research from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
