Bryan David Hunt

Bryan David Hunt is an American diplomat serving as the United States ambassador to Sierra Leone since September 11, 2023.

In 1995, he earned his bachelor's degree from American University in Washington, D.C.[1] Hunt is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, with the rank of Minister Counselor.

He previously served as the Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to the United States Transportation Command at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

Earlier, Hunt served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassies in Maputo, Mozambique, Georgetown, Guyana, and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

[1] On March 6, 2023, President Joe Biden nominated Hunt to be the next ambassador to Sierra Leone.
