The school's mascot is the Demon and its colors are orange and black.

Burlington High School owns and operates a radio station, 89.1 WBSD, one of the first high school radio stations in Wisconsin.

Founded in 1975 by Terry Havel, WBSD is operated by a staff of students, faculty, and community members.

[3] BHS won a state championship in boys' cross country in 1965,[4] girls' volleyball team won the WIAA state championship in 2011, 2012, 2017, and 2018.

[5] BHS has a chapter of the international service organization Key Club.
