The only concentrated settlements are in two unincorporated communities: According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 21.3 square miles (55.2 km2), of which 21.3 square miles (55.1 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.20%, is water.
