Interstate 69 and US 12 intersect at I-69 Exit 13 in the eastern part of the City of Coldwater.

State highway M-86 has its eastern terminus at a junction with US 12 about 2 miles (3 km) west of the city.

It is a tributary of the St. Joseph River, flowing to Lake Michigan.

22.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
