There are no other incorporated municipalities and no named settlements or unincorporated communities within the township.

The St. Joseph River flows diagonally from northeast to southwest through the township.

The township is drained by several small streams and lakes that flow into the St. Joseph.

[4] As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 2,284 people, 885 households, and 658 families residing in the township.

20.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
