Woodway is a city in McLennan County, Texas, United States.
Originally founded in 1865 by Confederate[4] veteran Burl Kendrick,[5] Woodway was named by a committee of citizens[6] in the early 1950s.
[5] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.6 square miles (17.1 km2), all land.
As of the 2020 United States census, there were 9,383 people, 3,177 households, and 2,602 families residing in the city.
16.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
