Blessed Carlo Liviero was an Italian Roman Catholic bishop who led the Diocese of Città di Castello.
[2] Liviero founded a school and libraries in his diocese and also established the La Voce del popolo magazine.
He was buried in Città di Castello and his remains transferred to the main cathedral.
The cause of sainthood of the Servant of God started on 5 August 1976 and commenced on a diocesan level before the Positio - documentation on his life of heroic virtue - was forwarded to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints in 1989.
Pope Benedict XVI approved the miracle on 16 December 2006 and it led to the beatification mass on 27 May 2007.
