Challabamba District is one of six districts of the Paucartambo Province in Peru.
[1] One of the highest peaks of the district is Qhispi Rumiyuq at 4,059 m (13,317 ft).

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (92.60%) learnt to speak in childhood, 7.07% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
