Quispicanchi is one of thirteen provinces in the Cusco Region in the southern highlands of Peru.
Some of the highest peaks of the province are Ausangate, Chumpi and Qullpa Ananta.

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (75.35%) learnt to speak in childhood, 24.29% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
