Cojuangco served in the Philippine House of Representatives first on Negros Occidental's 4th district from 1998 to 2007.

[1][2] He also served as congressman of Tarlac's 1st districtfrom 2016, as he replaced his uncle Henry Cojuangco, who died in 2015 and did not finish his term.

[5] He was supposed to run for third consecutive term, but he suffered to brain aneurysm and died on February 2022.

After his death, Jaime Cojuangco substituted him, and subsequently won election.
