Clara Latimer Bacon

Dr Clara Latimer Bacon (13 August 1866 – 14 April 1948) was a mathematician and Professor of Mathematics at Goucher College.

[2][3] Bacon attended North Abingdon High School and begun her college life at Hedding Collegiate Seminary.

[3] At Johns Hopkins, Bacon was a student of the geometer Frank Morley, who was her dissertation adviser.

[7] She was president of the Baltimore chapter of the American Association of University Professors[3] and supported the League of Women Voters.

[8] A student hall of residence at Goucher College, Bacon House, is named in her honour.
