Clayton, Michigan

Clayton is a village in Lenawee County of the U.S. state of Michigan.

A post office began operating in East Dover on March 8, 1837, with Levi Soper serving as the first postmaster.

[5] According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.71 square miles (1.84 km2), all land.

[6] As of the census[8] of 2010, there were 344 people, 118 households, and 90 families living in the village.

17.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 326 people, 113 households, and 83 families living in the village.

19.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
