Coeymans, New York

Coeymans is a town in Albany County, New York, United States.

The Powell & Minnock Brick Yard, just north of the Hamlet on Rt.

24.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The economy of Coeymans is driven largely by Lafarge Cement Plant, and the Port of Coeymans which was developed over the former site of the Powell and Minnock brick plant on the shore of the Hudson River.

[7] The relatively new and developing Port of Coeymans focuses on a recycling hub for the Albany area,[8] as well as offshore wind.

The Port of Coeymans has had a number of environmental violations, air quality concerns, and fires on site.
