[3] In 1893, she exhibited work at the Woman's Building at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1897 she married Edward C. Davis and the couple spent their two-year honeymoon in New Mexico and Arizona.
[4] Davis painted on the trip, depicting Navajo and Hopi in portraits and sacred ceremonies.
She painted a portrait of President William McKinley which was commissioned for the Westminster Central Hall in London, England.
[5] In 1913, she was the first women to be admitted to the all-male life class of the Cincinnati Art Club.
