The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.86% White, 0.25% Black or African American, 0.11% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 0.32% from other races, and 1.00% from two or more races.

There were 1,303 households, out of which 18.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.6% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.1% were non-families.

30.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
