East Ithaca, New York

East Ithaca is a suburban community (and census-designated place) in Tompkins County, New York, United States.

East Ithaca is immediately south of the main campus of Cornell University.

While known as East Ithaca, it is also considered to be part of East Hill, a designation shared with the contiguous area within the City of Ithaca As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 2,192 people, 1,017 households, and 474 families residing in the CDP.

31.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 1.5% of families and 15.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty-five or over.
