Dryden is a village in Tompkins County, New York, United States.
The first settler in the town located on the site of the future village in 1797.
As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 1,832 people, 772 households, and 469 families residing in the village.
There were 811 housing units at an average density of 489.1 per square mile (188.8/km2).
33.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
