Edison, Georgia

Edison is a city in Calhoun County, Georgia, United States.

The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place in 1902 as the "Town of Edison".

[5] The community was named after Thomas Edison (1847–1931), American inventor.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Edison has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.1 km2), all land.

[8] As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,340 people, 512 households, and 334 families residing in the city.
