[3][4][5][6] Nandkumar 'Nandu' Sharma, an assassin, and his gateway partner Shekhar are hired by Anna Mhatre, an opposition leader, for an assassination attempt on Mhatre during one of his political party meetings in hopes of garnering sympathy votes.

Nandu jumps off the building onto a train and meets Puran Singh, who is returning to his village Chambela in Hoshiarpur after running away many years ago.

Nandu escapes in the ensuing confusion and arrives at Chambela to inform Puran's death to the family.

Nandu calls Joshi, the CM candidate, and blackmails him with the recording of their earlier conversation.
