Ellen Elizabeth Kirkman is professor of mathematics at Wake Forest University.
Her doctoral dissertation, On the Characterization of Inertial Coefficient Rings, was supervised by Edward C.
[2] Kirkman is on the board of directors of Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education (EDGE), a program to help women pursuing studies in the mathematical sciences.
[7] Kirkman served as treasurer and was on the Executive Committee of the Association for Women in Mathematics from 2012 to 2020.
[10] She has also received service awards from Wake Forest University and the Southeastern Section of the MAA.
