Ellisiophyllum

Ellisiophyllum is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Plantaginaceae.

[1] It contains a single species, Ellisiophyllum pinnatum (Wall.

Makino [2] Its native range is the central Himalayas to New Guinea.

[2] Its genus name of Ellisiophyllum is in honour of John Ellis (1710–1776), a British linen merchant and naturalist,[3] and phyllum meaning leaf.

The specific epithet pinnata is from the Latin meaning "feather-like", referring to the leaves.
