Emsland (German pronunciation: [ˈɛmsˌlant] ⓘ) is the name of a region along the lower Ems River[1] in western Lower Saxony and northern North Rhine-Westphalia.
It is divided into the so-called Hanoverian and Westphalian Emsland.
