The FOG-MPM is very flexible, can be launched from ground vehicles (Astros II MLRS),[1] ships and helicopters, and is immune to electronic measures.

[2] Work on the development of FOG-MPM or MAC-MP (fiber optics guided multiple purpose missile – missile anti-car multi-purpose) was initiated in 1985 by Avibrás and unveiled in 1989.

The program is funded by the company itself, with all the components produced in country.

The hollow charge warhead can penetrate rolled homogeneous armor 1,000mm thick.

A weapon operator can be trained in 8 hours in the simulator made by Avibrás.
