Fairfax Assembly & Stamping

From 2025, the plant is slated to assemble the second-generation Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle for the North American market.

As of 2022[update], the 4,900,000 sq ft (460,000 m2) plant employed over 2,100 hourly and salaried employees, represented by United Auto Workers Local 31.

In January 2013, GM announced $600 million in upgrades to the plant including a new 450,000-square-foot (42,000 m2) paint shop and a new stamping press.

The renovations were aimed at reducing water consumption and chemical waste, and were not expected to interfere with production.
