Garnet Canyon

Garnet Canyon is located in Grand Teton National Park in the U.S. state of Wyoming.

[2] The canyon was formed by retreating glaciers which reached their last glacial maximum around 15,000 years ago.

Beyond the boulderfield is the popular camping area known as the Meadows, above which the canyon divides into north and south forks.

Backcountry camping is allowed, by permit, in Garnet Canyon at areas designated by the National Park Service.

Camping permits can be obtained in advance via registration or in person at the Jenny Lake Ranger Station.
