[1] He was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL draft, and played for them from 2008 to 2011.

He was also a member of the Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants and Detroit Lions.

He is the son of Lee Schwartz, a business consultant to manufacturing companies, and Olivia Goodkin, an attorney.

He attended Hebrew school and synagogue Adat Shalom in West Los Angeles.
