Hoovina Hadagali

Hoovina Hadagali or Huvina Hadagali is a town and a taluk in the Vijayanagara district of Karnataka, India.

As of 2001[update] India census,[4] Huvina Hadagali had a population of 23,404.

In Huvina Hadagali, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.

[citation needed] Hadagali Mallige (ಹಡಗಲಿ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ) (Jasminum auriculatum) is one of the top three cultivars of Jasmine endemic to Karnataka, grown mainly in Huvina Hadagali and surrounding in Bellary district of Karnataka.

The other two varieties being Mysooru Mallige (Jasminum sambac) and Udupi Mallige (Jasminum grandiflorum), and Paddy has also become the 2nd major commercial crop.
