Hafez al-Assad government

Member State of the Arab League The Hafez al-Assad Government ruled Syria from 1970 to 1971.

The Cabinet of Syria was led by then-Prime Minister Hafez al-Assad.

[1] This government was the 76th since Syria gained independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1918 and was the first during presidency of Ahmad al-Khatib.

[2] It was formed 21 November 1970 and was dissolved 3 April 1971.
