Helenwood, Tennessee

Helenwood is an unincorporated community in Scott County, Tennessee, United States.

The legislation that changed the statute had been introduced by Lieutenant Governor John S. Wilder in order to allow Hickory Withe to become a municipality.

Helenwood's incorporation was rescinded by state courts after the amendments were declared unconstitutional.

[9] It is situated along U.S. Route 27 north of Huntsville, in Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau region.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.8 square miles (7.3 km2), all land.

The racial makeup of the town was 97.87% White, 0.59% Native American, and 1.54% from two or more races.
