Hettlingen

Hettlingen is a municipality in the district of Winterthur in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.

Of the rest of the land, 16.1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.9%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).

As of 2007[update] 13.8% of the total municipal area was undergoing some type of construction.

As of 2008[update] the gender distribution of the population was 48.6% male and 51.4% female.

Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (94.7%), with French being second most common ( 1.0%) and English being third ( 0.9%).
