Turbenthal

Turbenthal is a municipality in the district of Winterthur located in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.

Of the rest of the land, 7.1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.6%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).

As of 2007[update], 4.8% of the total municipal area was undergoing some type of construction.

Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (88.1%), with Italian being second most common ( 3.8%) and Albanian being third ( 1.8%).

[4] Turbenthal railway station is a stop on the Zurich S-Bahn service S26.

Turbental is the home of Schlossberg Textil AG, a manufacturer of bed linen.
