Atractiella Basidiopycnis Proceropycnis Atractiellaceae R.T. Moore (1996) The Hoehnelomycetaceae are a family of fungi in the order Atractiellales.
[1] Basidiocarps (fruit bodies) are minute and ether stilboid (pin-shaped)[2] or pycnidioid (flask-shaped).
[3] Microscopically they produce auricularioid (laterally septate) basidia.
The type genus, Hoehnelomyces, is a synonym of Atractiella.
[2] Molecular research, based on cladistic analysis of DNA sequences, has shown that the Hoehnelomycetaceae are monophyletic (a natural grouping).
