Iisalmi railway station

The Finnish Heritage Agency has classified Iisalmi railway station as a nationally significant built cultural environment.

The wooden station building designed by architect Bruno Granholm was completed in 1902.

[1][2] Iisalmi became a junction station in 1925 as the Iisalmi–Ylivieska railway line was opened.

[1] In December 2006 the electrification of the railway between Iisalmi and Oulu was completed.

Track 1 is currently unused by the passenger trains that stop at the station.
