Jacques Bizard Bridge

Jacques Bizard Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Rivière des Prairies and connects the island of Île Bizard to Montreal Island.

The existing bridge was built in 1966 and carries three lanes of Jacques Bizard Boulevard, including one reversible lane.

[1] The 1966 bridge replaced an older bridge that was built in 1893 about 150 meters further west, at the street named Rue Du Pont.

[2] The bridge is the only access to Île Bizard except for a cable ferry that operates seasonally between April and November and crosses the north branch of the Rivière des Prairies to connect with Laval-sur-le-Lac.
