James McCannon Schley (died November 15, 1883) was an American politician and lawyer from Maryland.
[2][3] He served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Frederick County from 1841 to 1842.
[3] In 1843, he moved to Cumberland and served in the Maryland House of Delegates representing Allegany County from 1845 to 1846.
[2][5] He was appointed as deputy state's attorney of Allegany County by Governor Enoch Louis Lowe.
[1][2][3] He was a member of the board of commissioners of Cumberland and helped plan the water system.
[2] Schley died on November 15, 1883, aged 68, at his home on Washington Street in Cumberland.
