Jason Shivers

Jason Shivers [SHY-verz] (born November 4, 1982) is an American professional football coach and former player.

He was also a member of the Chicago Bears, Hamburg Sea Devils, New York Giants, Toronto Argonauts, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

He earned First-team Super All-State 2000 defensive honors from Phoenix Metro Magazine.

[3][4] Shivers spent the 2006 preseason with the New York Giants, but was released prior to the start of the regular season on August 30, 2006.

[4] However, he did not play in 2007 after suffering a season-ending injury in the team's first pre-season game against the Montreal Alouettes.

[9][10] On February 8, 2019, the Riders announced that Shivers had been promoted to the role of defensive coordinator following the departure of Jones.

[13] The move reunited Shivers with Chris Jones, who had also stepped down as the team's defensive coordinator.
