Jasper is a town located in Steuben County, New York, United States.
[3] The Town of Jasper is in the southwestern part of the county, west of Corning.
Noted ceramics artist Frederick Walrath was born in Jasper in 1871, and grew up there.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 52.7 square miles (136 km2), of which, 52.7 square miles (136 km2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
14.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
