Dame Joan Withers DNZM (née Blinkhorn; born 1953) is a New Zealand business executive and professional director.

[1] After her son started school, Withers returned to work outside the home, writing editorial copy and selling advertising at New Zealand News for nine years.

[1] In 1989, conscious that she had no tertiary qualifications, she undertook study for a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Auckland.

[4] In August 2004, she was appointed to the Feltex board as its only female director just days before the company launched an IPO in New Zealand for its entire share capital.

[6] In the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours, Withers was appointed a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to business, governance and women.
