John Francis Meier[1] (born 1964)[2] is a retired United States Navy rear admiral who last served as the Commander of Naval Air Force Atlantic from May 1, 2020 to August 17, 2023.

[4][5][6][7] Born at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland[8] and raised in Export, Pennsylvania,[4] Meier is a 1982 graduate of Franklin Regional High School.

In August 1988, Meier completed flight training in Beeville, Texas and became a naval aviator.
