Joseph Byers (March 19, 1824 – April 11, 1898) was an American politician from Maryland.
He served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Frederick County from 1868 to 1870.

They had six children, George G., Jacob K., Margaret, Jeannette, Carrie Jane and Blanche M.[2][3] Byers died on April 11, 1898, at his "Pleasant Farm" home near Emmitsburg.
