This fjord is located east of Sermilik (Sermiligaaq) in King Christian IX Land, north of Tasiilaq (Ammassalik).

Sammileq (Sammilik) Fjord branches roughly northeastwards on the eastern side of its mouth.

Leif Island is located to the south.
