Knox, New York

Knox is a town in Albany County, New York, United States.

During the American Revolution, loyalties of the inhabitants were split, but the issue was resolved when Tories moved away.

As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 2,647 people, 953 households, and 743 families residing in the town.

There were 1,041 housing units at an average density of 24.9 per square mile (9.6/km2).

16.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
