Kryvyi Rih National University

Kryvyi Rih National University (Ukrainian: Криворізький національний університет, romanized: Kryvorizkyi natsionalnyi universytet), colloquially known as KNU (Ukrainian: КНУ), is located in Kryvyi Rih, one of the main industrial cities of Ukraine.

[citation needed] During World War II, having been evacuated from 20 September 1941 to August 1944, the Kryvyi Rih Mining Institute relocated to Nizhny Tagil, Russia.
