La Alameda Park, Quito

This park is shaped like a triangle bounded by the streets Gran Colombia, Sodiro and 10 de Agosto.

[1] The park houses the "Churo," one of the oldest towns in the area, dating back to colonial times.

Some of the more famous among these are the sculpture built in honor of the French Geodesic Mission and to Bolivar.

The Alameda Park is a true tradition of Quito, with its natural lagoon becomes a place of relaxation for the inhabitants of the city.

[3][1] La Alameda metro station is located at the southern edge of the park.
