[2] He played Lieutenant Edward Courtenay in the second series of Downton Abbey.
[3] He starred alongside Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint as Captain Davenport in the Norwegian feature film Cross of Honour (originally Into the White), based on a true story.
[4] He played Dominic in Mike Figgis's suspense thriller Suspension of Disbelief[5] and Ted in Fredrik Bond's Charlie Countryman opposite Shia LaBeouf and Aubrey Plaza.
Nieboer also starred in The Unfolding, Identicals[6] and Trendy,[7] a thriller shot in East London, which premiered in competition at the Raindance Film Festival.
