In Greek mythology, Leanira (Ancient Greek: Λεάνειρα, romanized: Leáneira), also known as Laodamia,[1] was a Spartan princess who later became an Arcadian queen.
Through this parentage, she was considered the sister of Argalus,[3] Cynortes,[4] Hyacinthus,[5] Harpalus,[6] Hegesandra,[7] Polyboea,[8] and in other versions, of Daphne.
[9] Later on, Leaneira married King Arcas, son of Callisto and Zeus.
According to the mythographer Apollodorus, the couple had two children, Elatus and Apheidas.
[2] A scholion on Euripides' Orestes adds Azan to this list,[10] while the geographer Pausanias also mentions Triphylus as their child.
